Customer Growth Lead (Core)

Location/work pattern 

Hybrid – UK based with travel to Manchester office up to four times per month

Normal work pattern 9.00 – 5.30 Mon-Fri. Due to the nature of this role there will be some requirement for flexible working

Salary  

£55,000 to £65,000 depending on experience plus annual bonus based on team NRR and commission on personal sales

Vypr’s Customer Growth Lead (Core) is a hybrid UK-based role managing account managers to drive revenue from mid-market clients while delivering exceptional customer experiences for Vypr’s product intelligence platform.

Our market-leading product intelligence platform provides reliable consumer data to help manufacturers and retailers understand what their customers want to see on shelves. The Customer Growth team’s objective is to grow our existing customer revenue by making Vypr ‘easy to love and hard to leave’. This comes from combining exceptional customer experience and providing product solutions that helping our customers achieve their business objectives. The team has over 150 years of combined Product experience which allows us to leverage our expertise as a Product Intelligence provider. 

Things that you will do

  • Taking responsibility for Core customer base P&L. Average contract value £18k across c. 200 customers.
  • Management of the Core Customer Growth Partners, including first line escalation point, training and upskilling, addressing concerns, identifying opportunities for commercial growth and process improvement
  • Enabling and coaching the Core Customer Team to achieve revenue targets across their accounts through reducing churn and increasing stickiness of Vypr
  • Deepening relationships with key customers and growing share of wallet, through building of personal relationships and working with Core Customer Growth Partners
  • Working with Core Customer Growth Partners to identify opportunities within their accounts and delivering on these
  • Developing best practice methodologies and processes across the customer journey and sales funnel
  • Managing personal and team opportunity pipeline from identification to closing and providing forecast metrics
  • Undertaking sales process from prospect identification, product demonstrations, proposal creation, negotiation and deal closing
  • Ensuring team proposals are commercially viable and meet assigned targets for volume, value, mix and margin
  • Being aware of market trends and competitors
  • Maintaining a positive attitude that inspires co-workers and customers to grow the business

  • Team NRR target (over 105%)
  • Personal sales quota
  • Meets assigned performance expectations
  • Ensures first-class customer satisfaction, that meets the high standards expected by Vypr
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame

What you are good at  

Strategic / senior level experience in an account management / sales development role. Preferably in a similar market – insight / trends / data / SaaS

  • Managing a team of Account Managers
  • Superstar that consistently over-delivers against targets
  • Ability to balance ‘data driven’ decisions with experience, to make the right call
  • Excellent business acumen and results orientated
  • Good time management skills are essential
  • Comfortable with both independent and team working environments
  • Is able to anticipate problems and forward-plan
  • Is confident, enthusiastic and a hard-working self-starter and problem solver
