Vypr’s Compliance Specialist/Data Protection Officer is a Manchester-based hybrid role, responsible for overseeing compliance, data protection, and risk management, supporting business growth and regulatory alignment across the company.

The Compliance role is key to providing proactive compliance support across all of Vypr by ensuring Compliance strategies fit within Vypr’s visions and goals, adding value to our ambitious growth plans as well as providing the Exec and Board with the oversight they require.
Things that you will do
You will be the Data Protection Officer with responsibility for Compliance and Data Protection functions within Vypr. You will be proactive in the tasks required to maintain a comprehensive Compliance Monitoring Programme, and provide support to all areas of the business, including ad hoc advice on compliance topics and the use of emerging technologies such as AI. Also assisting with ESG, Health and Safety and Business Continuity work.
What you will be responsible for
- Chairing regular Risk Management meetings and management of Vypr’s Risk Register
- Annual review and management of all Vypr company policies
- Data Protection oversight – maintenance of Information Asset Register, Data Protection Impact Assessments and all other requirements
- New Supplier Due Diligence and maintenance of Supplier Masterlist
- Liaising with lawyers in the review and updating of Privacy Policy and Terms of Use
- Liaising with lawyers for non-UK Privacy Policies and Terms of Use
- Support in contract negotiations for the Sales and Customer Growth Teams
- Compliance Risk Assessments/Audits
- Health and Safety oversight
- Management of E-learning platform for regulatory training
- Management of Gifts and Hospitality process
- Assisting with Vypr’s ESG work and targets – helping to develop and enhance these
- Part of Business Continuity working group
What you are good at
An experienced and driven Compliance professional, with demonstrable knowledge across a wide range of topics, including Data Protection (UK, EEA and International), Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Bribery, Conflicts of Interest and Health and Safety. A basic knowledge of, ESG, Information Security accreditations, i.e. Cyber Essentials or ISO27001 and Contract Law would be desirable.
An agile individual, with excellent people and time management skills, being able to juggle multiple tasks and work with all areas of Vypr.
